The Bookshop in Helston, Cornwall
Join us for an evening rich in poetry, imagery and conversation. Journey from the UK to Wales, Guyana, France and Spain through multiple histories, ecologies and languages.
Maggie Harris’ award-winning poetry runs deep through greenery and along the Berbice River in her childhood home of Guyana, springs up in Wales and takes root in her garden in Kent.
Jessica’s poems find themselves in the heart of Paris, surface outside the city’s peripherique and plunge into the Channel at the mouth of the Seine.
Mark Holihan, formerly from California and now living in Penzance, was shortlisted for the Bridport Prize. His poetry is richly observed, whether it’s walking the Camino de Santiago or considering life’s undulations in the US and UK.
